“OBITUARY. Barbara Kreglow Davis was born June 6th, 1815, in Hedgesville, Berkeley County, Va., and died at the home of her son, J. B. Davis, near Glasgow, February 6th, 1904. She was married to George K. Davis in Virginia, August 7th, 1842. They moved to Burlington in 1844 and thence to a farm near Glasgow in 1878, where she has since made her home. Of this union were born eight children. Five have preceded their mother to the world of unseen realities. Three are living, George K. and James B. Davis of this county, and John C. Davis who is now in California…..Funeral services were held at the Mt. Zion church February 7th, 1904, conducted by H. A. Dalrymple, pastor of the Free Methodist Church at Birmingham.”
