John M. THOMPSON

John M. THOMPSON, 56, of Milton, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at home.

A memorial service will be held in Warwick, R.I. A private burial of cremains will be held at a later date in Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.

Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua is assisting the family.

Mr. THOMPSON was born Jan. 22, 1957, in Warwick, R.I., the son of Frederick and Gayle LAW THOMPSON. He married Gloria LAWING.

He grew up in Rhode Island and lived in several states including California where he was a building contractor.

The THOMPSONs moved to Milton in 1998.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bradd THOMPSON and spouse Katie HUFF of Milton and John THOMPSON II in Louisiana; five grandchildren; and his mother of Milton.

He was preceded in death by his father.
