Arrangements are pending at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Elizabeth 'Betty' Ann KRUSE

Elizabeth "Betty" Ann KRUSE, 82, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

A memorial service will be held at a later time.

Behner Funeral Home & Crematory is handling arrangements.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Jefferson County Health Center. Cards and memorials can be sent to 8154 73rd St., Agency 52530.

Mrs. KRUSE was born March 4, 1931, in Grinnell, Kan., the daughter of Everett and Louise SCHWARZ SCHROEDER. She married James KRUSE in 1950 in Angelus, Kan. He died Dec. 2, 2010.

She worked at the Jefferson County Hospital for many years as a nurse's aide.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing with her grandkids.

Her hobbies were sewing, crossword puzzles, playing cards and reading.

Survivors include seven children, Sharon PIPER and spouse Charles of Kirksville, Mo., Terry KRUSE and spouse Janice of Agency, Shirley WHITE of Beech Island, S.C., Lynda GILL and spouse Nick of New Carlisle, Ohio, Gary KRUSE and spouse Brenda of Richland, Tim KRUSE of Omaha, Neb., and Dennis KRUSE and spouse Tammy of Fairfield; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and six siblings, James SCHROEDER, Ray SCHROEDER and Don SCHROEDER all of Grinnell, Kan., Ken SCHROEDER of Oakley, Kan., Ethel ZIEGLER of Collyer, Kan., and Carol MARURLH of Mesquite, Nev.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Thomas; and one sister, Doris.
