G. McCREERY Dies At 89

ABINGDON - Guy R. McCREERY, 89, died Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Parkview Care Center in Fairfield where he had been a patient since 1970.

Graveside services will be Sunday at 2 p.m., in Abingdon Cemetery with the Rev. Kermit Black officiating.

The son of Daniel and Catherine HILTON McCREERY, he was born Oct. 24, 1887 in Minneapolis, Minn.

He lived there until he was six, moving with his parents to Abingdon where he spent the rest of his life. He was engaged in farming and was a member of the Abingdon Christian Church.

He is survived by one sister, Myrtle BLACK of Batavia, and one brother, Ralph McCREERY of Fairfield.
