Thomas Edward FRITZ

Thomas Edward FRITZ, 52, passed away in his home in Rifle, Colo., Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013.

A celebration of his life will be held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 8, 2013, at the Brighton Community Center. All family and friends are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established for Tom's sons, Sean and John.

Tom was born Sept. 8, 1961, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Clifford and Wanda FRITZ.

Tom graduated from Fairfield High School and attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids. Shortly after, Tom moved and made his home in Colorado.

He was an avid football fan, a fisherman, hunter and a loving father.

He is survived by his mother, Wanda FRITZ of Washington, Iowa; his son Sean, daughter-in-law Kyri and beloved granddaughter Natelee of Rifle, Colo.; and his son John of Vancouver, Wash. Additional survivors include ex-wife and mother of his sons, Dan VanTALENGEN; significant other, Kathy Steinwinder; sisters, Linda DAVIS, Patty BROKKEN and Becky FRITZ; brothers , (sic) Dennis, Ed and Leo FRITZ; many nieces and nephews, and his God-mother, Rosemary WORLEY.

Tom was preceded in death by his father.
