LOCKRIDGE - Walter H. HUNTER, 56, well known Lockridge farmer, died suddenly about 10:05 p.m. Tuesday at the Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield where he had entered as a patient Tuesday afternoon.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Augustana Lutheran Church in Lockridge with the Rev. Lenwood L. Monte officiating. Burial will be in the Lockridge Cemetery. The body is at the Weston Behner Funeral Home.
Walter H. HUNTER was born June 27, 1916, in Henry County, son of Mark and Bessie HOCKETT HUNTER. The father preceded his son in death.
The HUNTER farm is located one mile east of Lockridge. He was employed as a bus driver for the Fairfield Community School District and for a number of years was employed at the American Chain and Cable Co. in Fairfield.
His marriage to Loretta CARLSON took place March 6, 1949. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Jeffrey, Mount Pleasant; Randall and Monte at home; his mother, Mrs. Bessie HUNTER, Mount Pleasant; and a brother, Raymond HUNTER, Lockridge.
