Monday, Nov. 12, 1973Donald ADAMS, Kankakee, Dies
Donald Dean ADAMS, 43, died Saturday night in Kankakee, Ill. Death was caused by cancer following a short illness.
ADAMS was a chemist with the Armour Co. A 1953 graduate of Parsons College, he resided in the Hedrick and Fairfield areas for several years before going to Kankakee.
Services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Phillips-Friday-Schreffler Funeral Home in Kankakee.
ADAMS was born Nov. 17, 1929 at Rose Hill, the son of Carl and Vera COBLE ADAMS. He was married June 27, 1952 to Clarbelle RAMSEY of Fairfield.
Surviving are his widow and two children: Mrs. Patricia GIROUX, Kankakee; and William C. ADAMS, at home. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Vera WHITTINGTON, Thornburg; two sisters, Mrs. Alice MARKHAM, Thornburg, and Mrs. Judy SWANSON, Ottumwa; and one brother, Robert ADAMS, Pleasant Hill.
He was a member of the American Chemical Society and the United Presbyterian Church. He was affiliated with Sigma Chi fraternity at Parsons.
