BEKEL Rites On Tuesday

Mrs. Lena A. BEKEL, 91, 503 N. Main, died at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Washington Care Center in Washington where she had been a patient the past month.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Hope Lutheran Church near Germanville with the Rev. Wayne Wilken officiating. Burial will be in Hope Lutheran Church Cemetery. Arrangements are in charge of the Raymond Funeral home.

Members of the family will receive friends at the Raymond Funeral Home this evening from 7:30 to 9 p.m., after which a family prayer service will be conducted.

Lena A. BEKEL was born April 16, 1882, in Jefferson County, near Germanville. She was the daughter of Jacob and Anna PEIFFER POHREN, and was reared and educated in the Germanville Community.

Her marriage to William BEKEL took place July 31, 1901, at Germanville. She was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one son, Harry BEKEL, Brighton; two daughters, Mrs. Edith BALDOSIER, Brighton, and Mrs. Elsie ZIHLMAN, Fairfield; seven grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; one brother, Leo POHREN, Fairfield; and one sister, Mrs. Margaret GRAF, Lockridge.

Mrs. BEKEL was preceded in death by her husband, one son, five brothers and two sisters.
