Lane A. Cesar, 43, of rural Keosauqua died at 7:18 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004, in the emergency room of Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

A private family service will be held Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Ellis Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Pittsburg Cemetery, west of Keosauqua.

Public visitation will begin at 3 p.m. today at the funeral home, with family present from 7-8 p.m. At his request, the casket will remain closed.

Memorials may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 18704 205th St., Keosauqua 52565.

Mr. Cesar was born Sept. 6, 1960, in Algoma, Wis., the son of Donald and Darleen Challe Cesar. He married Jill R. Austin Aug. 19, 1982, in Decatur, Ill.

He lived in Algoma, graduated from Lovington (Ill.) High School and attended Yankton College in Yankton, S.D.

Mr. Cesar worked out of his home in Keosauqua as a financial planner with Senior Benefit Services of Kansas.

He was a member of Wild Turkey Federation and National Rifle Association. He was a hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Meagan Cesar and one son, Tristan, both at home; his parents of Keosauqua; three brothers, Dan Cesar and Jeff Cesar, both of Keosauqua and Joe Cesar of Bethany, Ill.; and one sister, Kimmarie Robison of Mount Sterling.
