Lee FISK

Lee FISK, 79, of Eldon, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at home.

Arrangements are pending at Grace Funeral Care in Eldon.

Note: This brief notice is all that appeared in "The Fairfield Ledger" through November 12th, however the Grace Funeral Care website published a complete obituary from which is excerpted the following notes: Lee 'Sonny' FISK was born April 7, 1934, in Ottumwa, to Ollie O. and Ramah L. ENGLEKING FISK. He married Icel Maureen SANER in Monticello, IA, on August 30, 1955. He was inducted into the U.S. Army April 12, 1956, and was discharged February 11, 1958. Surviving him are his wife Icel and six children, Deborah (Charlie) STONE, Lisa FISK, Nancy (Terry) LILES, Becky (Bob) EHRET, Steven (Debbie) FISK, and Karen (Jack) EHRET. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, three sisters, Lorraine NEAVILLE, Florence (Howard) CURRIER, and Mary Donna (Virgil) DOBYNS, a niece raised by he and his wife, Luann JONES, and several other nieces and nephews. Preceding him was a brother Ollie Ray, a sister Joyce, and his parents. For more than 25 years he worked on the Rock Island Railroad. Interests included the guitar, gardening, and mowing the lawn, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his family. A memorial fund is being established. Sonny's funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at Grace Funeral Care in Eldon, and burial with military rites is to be at Eldon Cemetery. Visitation with family present is 5-7 Tuesday evening.
