Clarence Elmer DENNEY, 100, of Fairfield, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at SunnyBrook Living Care Center.
A funeral is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home & Crematory with words of comfort by David Alexander. Burial will be in Batavia Cemetery in Batavia.
Friends may greet family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

Mr. DENNEY was born Jan. 19, 1913, in Martinsburg, the son of Jesse E. and Eunice GOEPEL DENNEY. He married Ruth O. COOKSEY July 22, 1938, in Memphis, Mo.
He grew up on a farm near Libertyville, the eldest of five children.
He graduated from Libertyville High School in 1931 and played basketball while there.
He was a lifelong resident of Jefferson County, and always worked in farm-related occupations. He retired from Reiff Grain and Feed at age 79.
He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Fairfield.
He enjoyed flowers, watching basketball and the game show "The Price Is Right."
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; three daughters, Carolyn BLACK of Dallas Center, Brenda
EVERETT and spouse Fred of Brighton and Pat POOLE and spouse B.R. of Stockport; one son, David DENNEY and spouse Vera of Stockport; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one brother, Robert DENNEY of Ellenboro, N.C.He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; one sister; and a great-grandson in infancy.
