COGER Rites Wednesday

Mrs. Della COGER, 88, 306 S. Fourth, passed away Sunday evening at the Jefferson County Hospital following an illness of several months. She had been a patient at the hospital the past three days.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Hickman officiating. Interment will be in the Lockridge Cemetery.

Della COGER was born April 16, 1885, in Jefferson County, the daughter of George and Rachel MURPHY DAVIS. She was reared and educated in Jefferson County and was a lifetime member of the Lockridge Baptist Church.

Her marriage to Lee I. COGER took place Aug. 1, 1906, at Lockridge. He preceded her in death Feb. 28, 1942.

Mrs. COGER had been a resident of Fairfield for the past ten years, moving to this community from Lockridge.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Elsie) SMITH, Fairfield; and Mrs. Gladys MILLER, also of Fairfield; also tow grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren along with a number of great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. COGER was preceded in death by one son, one granddaughter, eight brothers and sisters.
