Hilma Emma BIDDLE

Hilma Emma BIDDLE, 65, 803 S. 33rd St., died Sunday afternoon, May 16, 1998, at her home.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Royar officiating. The body will be cremated after the funeral. Burial of cremains will be at a later date. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home with family present. Memorials may be made to United Methodist Women or the donor’s choice.

Mrs. BIDDLE was born July 30, 1932, in Des Moines, the daughter of Harry Haxel and Maude CLARK HULL. She married Willis S. BIDDLE Jan. 19, 1957 in Urbandale. She graduated from Urbandale High School in 1949. she has lived the last 25 years in Fairfield with previous residence in Ottumwa and Des Moines areas. She worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Co., Beltone Hearing Aids, Farmers Home Administration. She also was manager of the New Bargain Box.

Mrs. BIDDLE was recipient of the first Silver Fawn (Silver Beaver) ever given by Mid-West Iowa Council Boy Scouts of America. It is the highest award that a council can give. She served with United Methodist Women for many years as treasurer and was currently serving as secretary. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Deborah circle.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Richard of Lino Lakes, Minn.; three grandchildren; and one sister, Hazel Margaret DEMIRJEAN of Urbandale.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Haxel Clarl HULL.
