Eva S. SCHRAM

Eva S. SCHRAM, 88, of 807 W. Taylor Ave., died Monday morning, may 18, 1998, at Nelson Nursing Home.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Peter g. Drever Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be 9:a5-10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First Lutheran Church.

Mrs. SCHRAM was born Aug. 29, 1909, in Brighton, the daughter of William and Lena FOSS HOCH. She married Richard L. SCHRAM Sept. 24, 1950, at the First Lutheran Church. He died June 14, 1988.

Mrs. SCHRAM lived most of her life in the Fairfield community. She attended Parsons College for two years. She was a rural school teacher in the Jefferson County rural school system. She remodeled the Gage House, a historical home on West Broadway Avenue. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Lutheran Lifters, Philathea Class and she was a Sunday school teacher.

Survivors include her sister-in-law Eleanor HOCH of Oskaloosa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Carl and Roy.

Admin. note: Buried with husband Richard in Lot 2nd.130. The obituary notes her birthdate as August 29th, however the Social Security Death Index online states August 24th, 1909.
