LOCKRIDGE - Lydia F. SMITH, 91, longtime Lockridge resident, passed away early this week at her home.
Mrs. SMITH was born Jan. 29, 1882 near Lockridge. She was the daughter of Chris and Victoria STEWART GRABER, and was reared and educated in the community.
On June 6, 1906, she married Alexander SMITH at the home of her parents in Glasgow. Mr. SMITH passed away August 29, 1946.
A member of the New Sweden Methodist Church, Mrs. SMITH also attended the Baptist Church of Lockridge. She was preceded in death by a son and a daughter, a brother and a sister.
Survivors include a son, Leo SMITH of Batavia; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Herman RAUSCHER of Fairfield, Mrs. Linda McLaughlin of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. James DETRICK of Upland, Cal.; two brothers, Jesse GRABER of Chalsfont, Penn. and Harry GRABER of Memphis, Mo.
Graveside services were to be held Saturday with interment at the Lockridge Cemetery. A memorial service was scheduled for Monday at 2 p.m. at Lockridge Lutheran Church with Pastor Lenwood Monte officiating.
The Raymond Funeral Home of Fairfield is in charge of arrangements.
