Alvin Wayne JENKINS

Alvin Wayne JENKINS, 85 of Fairfield, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at Bloomfield Care Center in Bloomfield (note: in Davis County, IA).

A memorial service will be held at a later date. The body has been cremated.

Arrangements are in the care of Raymond Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairfield.

Mr. JENKINS was born Aug. 28, 1928, in Osawatomie, Kan., the son of Ralph and June ATKINSON JENKINS. He married Lucille DONART Aug. 23, 1953, in Princeton, Kan. They divorced.

He was raised in Kansas and had also lived in Texas and California.

He farmed, drove a semi and was in the landscaping business.

He was of the Jehovah's Witness faith.

Survivors include two daughters, Katie DALEY of Fairfield and Betty LOCKWOOD and spouse Tim of Wimberley, Texas; four sons: Ernie JENKINS of Des Moines, Tom JENKINS and spouse Beverly of Keosauqua, Dave JENKINS and spouse Mary of Rutledge, Mo., and Tim JENKINS of Weldon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Max; and one son, Bill.
