OBITUARY.

Died, at his home in Des Moines Township, May 22, 1888, Thomas J. HARRISON, in the 75th year of his age. He was born in Woodford County, Kentucky, where he resided until he removed to this county in 1843. He located near Libertyville, where, June 14th, 1844, he was married to Miss Cynthia Ann YOUNG, who, with three children, survives him. Shortly after his marriage Mr. HARRISON settled on the farm five miles west of Libertyville where he made his home until his death... Member M.E. Church... Some time before his death he had selected the first verses of the 49th chapter of Isaiah as the text of scripture that he desired used as the basis of discourse at his funeral, which was used as chosen by Elder L. Fordyce of the Christian Church... The large assembly of neighbors and friends in the busy time of the year was strong evidence of the worth of the man and showed the high esteem in which he was held. After services at the house his remains were laid in the grave in the cemetery two miles south of his home to await the resurrection morn...
