Gladys McNEESE

Gladys L. McNEESE, 85, died at 5:25 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 1992, at Nelson Nursing Home.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials have been established to Multiple Sclerosis Association and First Christian Chruch (err).

Mrs. McNEESE was born Jan. 31, 1907, in Coldbrook, Ill., the daughter of Emmet Tipton and Myra GARDNER BARNETT. She graduated from Keosauqua High School in 1926. On Sept. 4, 1926, she married Harold McNEESE in Moline, Ill. He died June 20, 1983. A homemaker, she had lived most of her life in the Fairfield community, where she was a member of First Christian Church.

Surviving are two sons, Charles of Fairfield, Raymond of West Burlington; three daughters, Ruth NORTON of Yarmouth, Karol LEAZER of Fort Collins, Colo., Karen PHILLIPS of Fairfield; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Three brothers, John, Hugh and Elmer, preceded her in death.
