Wanda Joan SILVERS

Wands Joan SILVERS, 78, of Fairfield, died today, Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at Jefferson County Health Center.

The body will be cremated. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.

Visitation for family and friends is 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home & Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Cards and memorials can be sent to 206 W. Main, Box 32, Lockridge 52635.

Mrs. SILVERS was born Sept. 25, 1934, in Oskaloosa, the daughter of Calvin Monroe and Edith Laverne POE SWIM. She married Merle Guy SILVERS Nov. 3, 1951, in Eddyville. He died Aug. 6, 2007.

She lived in Jefferson and Van Buren counties all her life. She moved 2.5 years ago to Sunnybrook Living Care Center.

She was a self-employed childcare giver and housewife.

She loved to crochet, cook, bake, play cards and do puzzles.

Survivors include two daughters, Connie RICHARDSON and spouse Richard, and Mary POHREN and spouse John, all of Lockridge; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Wyota SCOTT of Knoxville.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
