Ronald J. KITCH, 83, of Cedar Rapids, and formerly of Fairfield, died Thursday, Sept, 5, 2013, at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cedar Rapids.
The body was cremated and no services were held.
Papich-Kuba Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids handled the arrangements.
Mr. KITCH was born July 3, 1930, in Milton, the son of Howard and Cecealia KITCH. He married Betty on April 13, 1957 in Iowa City.
He graduated from Milton High School in 1948.
He served as a military police in the Korean War from 1949-1952.
He worked for Jefferson County before moving to Cedar Rapids.
He worked at King's Material for 37 years. He also worked at H&R Block for several years.
Survivors include one stepdaughter, Juanita MAY and spouse Ray of Phoenix, Ariz.; one stepson, Tim RILEY and spouse Laura of Vancouver, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Rita VANDERSNICK and Shirley KITCH, both of Fairfield.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years; his parents; five brothers, Wendall, Marvin, Ruben, Donald and William; one sister, Jean; and one granddaughter.
