Anice HESTON, 96, formerly of Fairfield, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, at Parkview of Wellman in Wellman.

Services are pending at Behner Funeral Home & Crematory.

Anice OLIVER HESTON

Anice OLIVER HESTON, 96, formerly of Fairfield, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, at Parkview of Wellman in Wellman.

A service is at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Mrs. HESTON was born Oct. 7, 1916, in Fairfield, the daughter of Henry and Agnes KURTZ OLIVER. She married Hugo HARPER in August 1936; they divorced. She married Harry HESTON Nov. 23, 1962, in Ottumwa. He died Feb. 3, 1994.

She was raised by grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John G. OLIVER of Packwood after her mother died when she was 14 days old.

She graduated from Packwood High School in the Class of 1934.

She worked for 37 years as a seamstress for Universal Producing Company.

She had been a charter member of the Eagles Women Auxiliary No. 1927 since 1962.

She lived in Durant the past 16 years.

Survivors include three children, John HARPER of Rockford, Fred HARPER of Durant and Susan SNYDER of Richland; two stepchildren, Virginia BROWN of Mesa, Ariz., and Dale HESTON of Kansas City, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Harry and her mother, she was preceded in death by her father; one son, Lester HARPER; one daughter, Janice GREER; one stepson, Wayne HESTON; one brother, two sisters and one granddaughter.
