BATAVIA - Mrs. Mary Alyce GILTNER, 66, of Irwin, Iowa, formerly of Batavia, died Monday at Jennie Edmondson Hospital in Council Bluffs.
The funeral will be on Friday at 10 a.m., at the Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia with the Rev. Kermit Black officiating. The body arrived at the Batavia Funeral Chapel this afternoon.
Mrs. GILTNER was born Dec. 31, 1910, at Ute, Iowa, to Charles and Grace WEATHERAL BENNETT.
She graduated from Ute High School and married Everett GILTNER. They farmed near Batavia. After his death she lived with her son, Norton, until moving in 1971 to Irwin.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Eastern Star and the Irwin Church of Christ and its Ladies Aid.
She is survived by two sons, Dean and Norton, both of Batavia; one daughter, Mildred VANNOY of Council Bluffs; six grandchildren and one sister, Margaret REDENBAUGH of Sedalia, Colo.
