Death Takes John KESSEL

John R. KESSEL, 66, who spent the greater part of his life in Jefferson County, passed away at 3:20 a.m. today in the Henry County Memorial Hospital at Mount Pleasant.

Funeral services will be held in St. Mary Catholic Church Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. in charge of Father Jonathan Simmons with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. The Christian Wake will be held at the Weston Behner Funeral Home Tuesday at 8 p.m.

Mr. KESSEL was born July 5, 1906 at Brighton the son of John and Anna DRISH KESSEL.

He is survived by one son, Gerald of Moline, Ill., and one daughter, Mrs. Frank McCLURG of Dubuque; three brothers, Lawrence and Ralph of Fairfield and Harold of Staten Island, N. Y.
