Danny Dean FRANKLIN

Danny Dean FRANKLIN, 54, of Keosauqua, died Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The body has been cremated. Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua handled arrangements.

Mr. FRANKLIN was born July 12, 1959, in Keosauqua the son of Richard "Dick" and Nancy KING FRANKLIN. He married Ramona LANMAN Oct. 26, 2009, after a 31-year engagement.

His family moved to Missouri in his young years, living in Luray and Wyaconda. He attended a one-room school in elementary years.

The family moved back to Keosauqua and he graduated from Van Buren Community High School in 1977.

He was a strong willed person, not afraid to tell it like it is.

He was proud of his family and loved riding his motorcycle, boating on the river and shooting pool with his buddies.

Survivors include his wife, Ramona; one daughter, Adrienne Leigh FRANKLIN; one son, Ethan Hawke FRANKLIN, all of Keosauqua; his parents, Dick and Nancy FRANKLIN; one sister, Christie FRANKLIN; one brother, Kenneth FRANKLIN, all of Selma; and one sister, Teresa BLIEFERT of Kahoka, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Guida FRANKLIN, and Ralph and Alvastine CANADAY; and one brother, Shane Richard FRANKLIN.
