Paul Dean QUICK

Paul Dean QUICK, 76, of Fairfield, died Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at home.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Stacy Grau officiating. The body has been cremated. Burial is in New Sweden Cemetery.

Memorial donations in his name may be made to First Lutheran Church and Noah's Ark Animal Foundation.

Mr. QUICK was born Aug. 15, 1937 in Fairfield, the son of Karl and Mildred PIERSON QUICK. He married Jeannette Carol RICHARDSON May 22, 1965 in Fairfield.

He grew up in the Lockridge area and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1955.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956-1960 and was stationed in California, Texas and Labrador.

He worked for The Dexter Company for 10 years and Fairfield Aluminum Castings Company as a supervisor for 37 years before retiring.

He was a member of the First Lutheran Church and served on the church council.

He was a member of the Walton Club.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, bowling, woodworking, bird watching and his many cats.

Survivors include his wife Jeannette QUICK of Fairfield; three daughters, Diann QUIGLEY and spouse Ben of Spring, Texas, Penny DODDS of Fairfield and Terri RENEKER and spouse Scott of Fairfield; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Don QUICK.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Pauline QUICK REEDER.
