Franklin "Frankie" BOOTH, 58, 1795 Jasmine Ave., died at 11:18 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 1996, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ken Royar officiating. Fairfield Elks Lodge 1192 will give a memorial service at the church. Following the service, the body will be cremated and burial will be at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery. Masonic rites will be conducted at 6:30 tonight at Behner Funeral Home, followed by family visitation from 7 to 8. A memorial has been established to the Elks Foundation.
BOOTH was born Sept. 16, 1937, in Fairfield, the son of John Carl and Mabel HICKS BOOTH. He lived his entire life in Jefferson County, graduating from Fairfield High School in 1955. On June 30, 1957, he married Patsy HUMMEL at First United Methodist Church in Ottumwa. He was a farmer and did land excavating. He was a member of Clinton Masonic Lodge 15 AF & AM, Scottish Rites, KAABA Temple of Davenport, and Fairfield Shrine Club. He was past exalted ruler of Fairfield Elks Lodge 1192 in 1980-81. He had been a licensed aviator.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Michael of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a daughter, Michelle DONALD of Chandler, Ariz.; three grandchildren; his parents of Fairfield; and a brother, Roland of Colorado Springs.
