DEATH TAKES MRS. BERRAY

Mrs. Ella K. BERRAY, 90, passed away early yesterday morning at the hospital in Mt. Pleasant (note: in Henry Co., IA). She had been seriously ill for the past two weeks.

Mrs. BERRAY was born February 25, 1860 in Westmoreland, Pa., the daughter of Elliott & Mary LYNN DAVIS. She came to Fairfield at the age of five and spent remainder of her life in this community.

She was married to W. H. BATES of Fairfield in 1889 who preceded her in death in February, 1932. She was later married to A. L. BERRAY who died 1942. Mrs. BERRAY was a member of the Christian church.

Survivors include two sons, Ralph R. BATES and Ernie BATES, two grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Margaret RATCLIFF, all of Fairfield. Three sons, four brothers and one sister are deceased.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home in charge of the Rev. S. P. Williamson. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
