"Harriet Elizabeth Frazey, born in Jefferson County Mar. 2, 1846, died at Brush, Colo., July 13, 1920 aged 74-4-11. Nov 28 1867 married Ephriam Bates; 11 children, of which only four are living: Edgar Franklin of Brush, Colo.; Nevada Alma Townsend, of Smith Center, Kan.; Myrtle Lulu Bates of San Diego, Calif., and Elmer Ellsworth of Yuma, Colo. In 1873 Mr. and Mrs. Bates and family moved to Smith County, Kans., in which place they have since made their home. Member Meth. Ch. Leaves husband and children, one sister, Mrs. Manarah J. Vance of Rexford (?), Kan., 9 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren."
