Jerry MANLEY rites Saturday

Jerry Lee MANLEY, 24, native of Fairfield, died Tuesday at his home 3530 Oakland Road NE in Cedar Rapids.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Kincaid officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Linn County officials said his death was caused by an overdose.

Memorials may be made to the Fairfield Crisis Line or the Fairfield Public Library.

Jerry Lee MANLEY was born August 26, 1959, in Fairfield where he was reared and educated. He attended Fairfield schools and graduated from the Fairfield High School in 1977.

He was employed at Hy-Vee Food Store in Fairfield before he moved to Cedar Rapids in 1980. He attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids where he received his LPN degree in 1982.

Survivors include his parents, Barbara and Jack E. RAYMOND, Fairfield; a brother, Gary, Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Julie NEFF, Richland, and Janae RAYMOND at home.

Also his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert BAKER, Fairfield; step-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack L. RAYMOND, Fairfield; his father, Marvin MANLEY and his paternal grandmother, Minerva MANLEY, both of Fairfield; and his maternal great-grandmother, Julie WILBURN, Fairfield.
