Bruce FRESCOLN

Bruce K. FRESCOLN, 83, 207 E. Fillmore, died at 8:45 p.m. Monday at Jefferson County Hospital.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Batavia United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Connor officiating. Burial will be in Batavia Cemetery. Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia. Memorials may be made to FRESCOLN's church of lodge.

FRESCOLN was born June 9, 1900, a half-mile south of Batavia, the son of Charles and Mary HARRISON FRESCOLN. He lived on the farm where he was born until moving to Fairfield in February, 1979. On June 5, 1929, he married Bernice BARTHOLOW in Agency. She survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Marilyn (Mary) WALKER of rural Ottumwa, Melva DAHL and Ruth RIGGS, both of Fairfield; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren and one brother, Ray of Batavia.

FRESCOLN was a member of the Batavia United Methodist Church, and Masonic Lodge Kilwinning 198 in Batavia for 61 years.
