Angela Jo COBB-KORDEK

Angela Jo COBB-KORDEK, 50, of Grayslake, Ill., and formerly of Richland, died Monday, July 8, 2013, at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital in Lake Forest, Ill., after a battle with cancer.

Arrangements are pending at Gould Funeral Home in Richland.

Angela Jo COBB-KORDEK

Angela Jo COBB-KORDEK, 50, of Grayslake, IL, formerly of Richland, died July 8, 2013, at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital at Lake Forest, IL after a battle with cancer.

She was born in Fairfield February 12, 1963, to Bill and Sherry (OSWALT) COBB, grew up in Richland and graduated from Pekin Community Schools in 1981, then attended Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo and graduated from Northwestern University in Chicago. She worked as Human Relations Director for Tenneco in their Global Operations in Chicago.

Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, her many friends, traveling, attending concerts, volunteering and supporting animal humane shelters and caring for her two cats, Harley and Haley.

Angela is survived by her parents, Bill and Sherry (OSWALT) COBB, Richland, brother Mark (Laurie) COBB of Brighton, nephew Lee COBB of Richland, Aunt Harriet and Uncle Frank STEPHENSON of Hickory, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Cremation rites have been accorded and by her request there will be no memorial service.

Open visitation will be held 10-11:30 AM Saturday July 27, 2013, at the Richland United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Richland. Burial in Richland Friends Cemetery will be at a later date.

Memorials for the American Cancer Society or Paws & More Pet Shelter in Washington may be left at the visitation or mailed to the family at 411 West Main Street, Richland, IA 52585.

Gould Funeral Home of Richland is assisting the family.
