Mrs. METZ, 79, Taken In Death

Mrs. Chester E. METZ, 79, died early today at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh BARKER, south of Keosauqua.

Mrs. METZ was a long-time resident of Jefferson county. She had been seriously ill for two months.

Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral home in charge of the Rev. Aldreth Weigel. Burial will be in Mt. Zion cemetery near Glasgow.

Mrs. METZ was born Aug. 1, 1885 in Van Buren county, the daughter of John A. and Mary WILLIAMS WATSON. She was married to Chester E. METZ Sept. 5, 1906.

Surviving are her husband and the following children: Mrs. Hugh BARKER, Keosauqua; Myron METZ and Donald METZ, both of Fairfield. Also surviving are six grandchildren and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Chester HARLAN, Fairfield; Mrs. Ellis PEEBLER, Medford, Ore.; John and Ray WATSON, both of Fairfield. Two sons, two sisters and two brothers are deceased.

Mrs. METZ was a member of the Glasgow Methodist church.
