Shigeko KERR

Shigeko KERR, 73, of Polk City, formerly of Fairfield, died at 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 1, 1996, at Polk City Manor in Polk City.

The body was cremated. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kenneth Royar officiating. Burial will be at a later date. A memorial has been established to the American Diabetes Association.

Mrs. KERR was born April 20, 1922, in Mie-Ken, Japan, the daughter of Sangroo and Ishi TAGUCHI. On July 24, 1953, she married Harold Dale KERR in Tokoyo. He died Jan. 31, 1992.

She had lived most of her life in the Fairfield community and had worked for several years at Metromail in Mount Pleasant.

Surviving are a son, George of Polk City, and two grandchildren.
