Clinton Ernest Huff III, 58, of Conroe, Texas, formerly of Bonaparte, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, in Conroe.

The body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with the Rev. ellis andrews officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-3 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.

Memorials may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 10700 Northwest Woods Lane, Polk City, IA 50226.

Mr. Huff was born Feb. 25, 1945, in Keokuk, the son of Clinton Jr. and Eula Marmion Huff. He grew up on the family farm near Bonaparte. He attended Bonaparte School, was a member of the first class graduating from Harmony High School in 1963, and attended Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville, Mo. He had lived for many years in Texas where he was employed by Nations Equipment Rental Co.

Survivors include one daughter, Carrie Spain and husband Pat of Polk City; one son, Clinton Huff IV of Conroe; his father and stepmother, Clinton Jr. and Lorraine Jannings Huff of Milton; one sister, Patty Moore of Brookings, S.D.; one brother, Wayne Huff of Laurel, Mont.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother.
