Brenda Sue PISANO

Brenda Sue "Pumpkin" PISANO, 36 of Springfield, S.D., and her unborn child, died Friday, June 7, 2013, in a car accident near Tabor, S.D.

A funeral was at 10:30 a.m. today at the Springfield Community Bible Church in Springfield, S.D. Burial was in the Springfield Cemetery.

Visitation was at the Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Springfield Tuesday.

Mrs. PISANO was born Aug. 26, 1976, in Bloomfield. She married James PISANO Nov. 23, 1997, at Four Square Church in Fairfield.

She graduated from high school in Fairfield in 1995. She received an associate degree in nursing at Indian Hills Community College, Ottumwa in 2011. She was currently studying for her South Dakota Nursing Board Exam to be a registered nurse.

She had worked as a certified nursing assistant at the Sunnybrook Assisted Living Center in Fairfield until moving to Springfield, S.D., in July.

She worked at the Springfield Assisted Living Center and started working at the Good Samaritan Center in Tyndall in April.

She will be remembered for her love for her family, especially her children.

Her main passion was any activity involving her children and other children as well. She was a Cub Scout leader and coached children's soccer.

She had a passion for helping others through nursing and would do anything to help friends. She was also known for always having apples in the kitchen and collecting and enjoying snowmen and dolphins.

Survivors include her husband, Jim; three sons, Dakota, Trevor and Justin; two daughters: Amber and Serenity "Peanut," all of Springfield; her father, Robert SMALLEY of Fairfield; two sisters: Judy HEISEL of Stockport; Robyn SMALLEY of Burlington; and one brother, Ryan SMALLEY of Milwaukee, Wis.
