D. ANGSTEAD Rites Set

Donald ANGSTEAD, native of Fairfield, died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Veterans Hospital in Iowa City following a lengthy illness of cancer.

Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. April 22, at the Fry Funeral Chapel in Mediapolis. Elders Earl Humphrey and Bill Knox, Mount Pleasant, will officiate.

Family visitation will be Thursday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Fry Funeral Home.

Donald ANGSTEAD was born Oct. 20, 1922, in Fairfield. He was the son of Raymond D. and the late Pearl ANGSTEAD. His marriage to Jean ROSS of Mount Pleasant took place Dec. 23, 1939. ANGSTEAD was a veteran of World War II.

In addition to his widow, he is survived by a son, Lt. Comm. USN, Donald Eugene ANGSTEAD, Aloha, Oregon; two daughters, Mrs. Karen Sue BROWN and Mrs. Sharon Kay NEHRING, both of New London; and five grandsons and five granddaughters.

Other survivors include his father, Ray D. ANGSTEAD, Parkview Care Center; two sisters, Mrs. Harry O. SHANER, Fairfield, and Mrs. Emert NEWLON, Branson, Mo.; four brothers, Carl H., San Diego, Calif.; Edward C., Glasgow; Glen B., Fairfield; and Wilson R., San Bernardino, Calif.
