Mrs. FRITZ Dies At 69

BRIGHTON - Martha E. FRITZ, 69, died unexpectedly Sunday at her home in Washington. She had been in her usual health.

The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 tonight at the Gould Funeral Home in Brighton with Father Glenn Fuegen of Richland in charge.

The funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Church in East Pleasant Plain with the Rev. L.J. Bergthold of Richmond in charge. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery.

Born March 28, 1909 southwest of Brighton, Mrs. FRITZ was the daughter of Charles and Lucy LISK PECK. On Feb. 8, 1937 she was married to Raymond FRITZ. He died July 24, 1972.

They had lived and farmed west of Brighton until his death. She moved to Washington in 1973. She was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. She later became a member of St. James Church in Washington.

Survivors include a son and four daughters, Ronald FRITZ of Brighton, Winifred FRIESE of Washington, Jan MAREK of Riverside, Donna NAAB of Cedar Rapids and Linda WALKER of Iowa City; eight grandchildren, and a sister, Evelyn DEUTSCH of East Pleasant Plain. She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
