Helen Louise ADAMSON

Helen Louise ADAMSON, 88, of Fairfield, died at 10:12 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2013, at Hospice House in Ottumwa.

A memorial service is at 10 a.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa with the Rev. Jena Manchester officiating. Inurnment of cremains will be in the Ottumwa Cemetery (note: Wapello County, IA).

The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wapello and Davis Counties, 927 E. Pennsylvania Ave. Ottumwa 52501.

Mrs. ADAMSON was born May 10, 1925, in Ottumwa the daughter of Earl and Bessie WILCHER McCALESTER. She married Leo E. "Bud" ADAMSON Sept. 21, 1942.

She was a resident of the Agency and Ottumwa areas before moving to Fairfield.

She enjoyed crafts, reading, shopping, painting, gardening and family gatherings.

She was a member of the Agency United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Judy McNIEL of Batavia; two sons, Gary L. ADAMSON of Ottumwa and Kenneth E. ADAMSON of Coralville; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Clara LUDWIG and Beulah MENGE.
