Bernard Michael REDLINGER, 95, of Harper, died Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Maplewood Manor in Keota.
A funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Parish - St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota, with the Rev. Charles Fladung officiating. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemeteries - St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Harper.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Powell Funeral Home in Keota, with a wake service at 5 p.m.
Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or Macular Degeneration Research.

Mr. REDLINGER was born Aug. 5, 1917, near Harper, the son of John and Clara SONDAG REDLINGER. He married Alice Elizabeth FRITZ June 15, 1943, at St. Joseph Church in East Pleasant Plain. She died in 2004.
He grew up in the Harper community and attended St. Elizabeth School in Harper.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He and his wife made their home in the Harper community where he farmed until his retirement in 1985.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish - St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Harper.
He moved to Maplewood Manor in August 2009.
Survivors include five daughters, Carol KURTZ and spouse Kenneth of Brighton, Marjorie WEEBER and spouse Tom of Iowa City, Mary Ann SEVCIK and spouse Craig of Solon, Karen Sue KENNEDY of Cedar Rapids and Linda RICHARDSON and spouse Randy of Keota; three sons, William REDLINGER and spouse Beverly of Des Moines, Robert REDLINGER of Marion and Bernard REDLINGER and spouse Madeline of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Virginia "Ginny" O'DONNELL of Iowa City; and one brother, John V. REDLINGER of Solon.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Leola REDLINGER and Mary GREINER; and three brothers, James, Alvin and Cletus REDLINGER.
