PACKWOOD - William C. KIEWS, Packwood farmer, died Friday at 8:15 p.m. at the Jefferson County Hospital following an illness of nine months.
A lifetime resident of Jefferson County, KIEWS made his home four miles west of Packwood. Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Abingdon Church of Christ with the Rev. Dean Carey officiating. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery.
The body is at the Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia.
KIEWS was born Sept. 19, 1879 in Jefferson County, the son of George and Sarah JONES KIEWS. He was married to Bula HARRISON Oct. 20, 1928. Surviving are his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Leland HICKS, Rosehill; and two sons: Edwin KIEWS, Packwood; and Marvin KIEWS, Batavia.
Also surviving are four grandchildren, one step-grandchild, three step-great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Levenia SCHOOLEY, Batavia.
Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
