Death Takes Ethel SHEETS

BATAVIA - Mrs. C. Ethel SHEETS, 88, rural Batavia, died at 1:20 p.m. Saturday at the Good Samaritan Home in Keosauqua where she had been a patient the past three weeks.

Previously she had been a patient at the Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Libertyville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kermit Black and the Rev. Ross Winner officiating. Burial will be in Fell Cemetery in Libertyville. Arrangements are in charge of the Pedrick Funeral Home at Douds.

Mrs. C. Ethel SHEETS was born July 5, 1884, near Douds, the daughter of Emmanuel and Margaret HENDRICKS SAWVEL. She was married to Rollin SHEETS in Fairfield Aug. 19, 1903. He died in 1958.

She spent most of her life on a farm between Batavia and Libertyville.

Survivors include three daughters, Ruth SHEETS, Batavia; Mrs. Edith TURNIPSEED, Douds; and Mrs. Hazel PARKER, Libertyville; and two grandchildren. She was a member of the former Libertyville Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. SHEETS was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
