Margie J. DOWNING

Margie J. DOWNING, 88, of Keosauqua, died at 1:55 a.m. Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

The body has been cremated. A private family graveside service is 2 p.m. Tuesday in Forbes Cemetery, north of Keosauqua, with the Rev. Larry Shipley officiating.

Memorials to Forbes Cemetery may be left at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua or mailed to the family at PO Box 294, Keosauqua 52565.

Mrs. DOWNING was born Oct. 30, 1924, in Ottumwa, the daughter of John and Cora WILSON ORMAN. She married Otho DOWNING Feb. 16, 1949, in Memphis, Mo. He died March 8, 2000.

They lived many years in Bentonsport.

Survivors include one son, Jerry HUDDLESTON of Keosauqua; two daughters, Karen PAE of Hillsboro and Linda DOWNING of Keosauqua; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and two sisters.
