Services for Earl H. PETERSON, 86, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Pastor Robert Barker officating.
Interment will be in Hope Lutheran Cemetery near Germanville.
PETERSON died at 1:15 a.m. Thursday at the Parkview Care Center east of Fairfield.
Earl H. PETERSON was born Jan. 15, 1892, near Salina, the son of Axel and Mary FREEBERG PETERSON. He was reared and educated in Jefferson County, attended Prairie Chapel and Center No. 9 rural schools.
His marriage to Emma TAGLAUER took place April 6, 1935, at Rock Island, Ill. he was a carpenter by trade, a veteran of World War I, and was a member of the Lutheran Church.
PETERSON moved to Ottawa, Ill., in 1935 and returned to the Fairfield community in October, 1974.
He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Raymond BERG, Brighton; Mrs. Frank BERG, Fairfield; and Mrs. Anna BOHMEYER, Burlington.
PETERSON was preceded in death by his wife who died Jan. 7, 1973; also four brothers and two sisters.
