Death Takes Mrs. JOHNSON

William H. HALL, 1006 E. Jefferson, has received word of the death of his aunt, May E. JOHNSON, 88, who died March 17 in California.

Inurnment ceremonies will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Bartruff officiating.

May E. JOHNSON was born Feb. 3, 1885, near Fairfield, the daughter of William and Minnie HALFERTY. She was married in 1910 to Fay RIGGS who died in 1936. In July, 1944, she was married to Russell JOHNSON, Fairfield. He died in March, 1956.

Mrs. JOHNSON suffered a broked arm in January this year at the home of her daughter in California. In early February she suffered a broken hip and was bedfast at the time of her death.

She was a member of the Fairfield United Methodist Church and a past area school teacher.

Mrs. JOHNSON is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Harry IZENOUR who lived in California; three granddaughters, one great grandson; and a stepson, Howard JOHNSON.
