Noon Rites For SWITZER

Funeral services will be at 12 noon Saturday for Ralph L. SWITZER, 60, who died suddenly at 10 a.m. Thursday at his home, 601 W. Stone.

He had been seriously ill for the past four months with a heart condition.

The services Saturday will be at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Karl Holtkamp officiating. Military rites will be conducted at Evergreen Cemetery with the American Legion in charge.

Prayers for a Christian Wake will be held at the Weston Behner Funeral Home at 7 p.m. tonight.

SWITZER served with the Iowa National Guard for over 14 years, and served overseas for three years during World War II. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the American Legion.

Ralph L. SWITZER was born Oct. 26, 1912, at Springfield, Neb., the son of George A. and Ruth M. CASE SWITZER.

He came to Lockridge-Fairfield area in 1926 and had made his home in this community for over 47 years. He had operated a repair shop in New Chicago for 15 years until he retired a short time ago because of his health.

His marriage to Louise PARSONS took place Jan. 8, 1933, in Fairfield. She survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by seven grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Lucille WHITE, Moline, Ill.; Mrs. Louetta PENTECOST, Masonville; and Mrs. Helen GIVINS, Winters, Calif. He was preceded in death by one daughter.
