Dean E. WOLFE

Dean E. WOLFE, 82, formerly of New London, Bonaparte and Branson, Mo., died at 4:05 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Donnellson Health Center where he had resided since June, 2012.

A funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Larry Wallingford officiating. Burial with military rites by Sargeant Osweiler Post No. 563 American Legion Bonaparte, will be in Bonaparte Cemetery (note - in Van Buren Co., IA).

Visitation will be open to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home with family present from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday prior to the service.

Memorials to Bonaparte First Responders may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 1005 E. Oak Brook Place, Mount Pleasant 52641.

Mr. WOLFE was born Dec. 12, 1930, in Mount Sterling, the son of Leonard and Dorotha EVANS WOLFE. He married Donna J. NOSKE Jan. 12, 1952, in Keosauqua.

He graduated from Cantril High School and served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean War.

He had farmed and also worked at White's store in Bonaparte, as a custodian at Harmony schools and retired from Blue Bird Bus Manufacturing Company in Mount Pleasant.

He was a member of Sargeant-Osweiler Post No. 563 American Legion in Bonaparte, served many years on the Bonaparte Fire Department and had coached Little League Baseball and Men's Softball in Bonaparte.

Survivors include his wife of Donnellson Health Center; one son, Russell WOLFE and spouse Denise of Mount Pleasant; one daughter, Dorothy FEUERBORN and spouse Robert of Rockaway Beach, Mo.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Martha GLAHA of Keosauqua.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Billy Lee WOLFE.
