E. Maxine PECK, 92, of Fairfield died Thursday afternoon, April 4, 2013, at Sunnybrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

E .Maxine PECK (sic), 92, of Fairfield, died Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Sunnybrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.
A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain with the Rev. Nick Adam officiating. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery at East Pleasant Plain.
The family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Church. Following the visitation, there will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Friends may call at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday to pay respects and sign the register book.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield, Fairfield Senior Citizen Center or to the Polishville Association.

Mrs. PECK was born June 6, 1920, in East Pleasant Plain, the daughter of Anthony L. and Emma M. FRITZ SUPALLA. She married Joseph L. PECK April 12, 1939, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain. He preceded her in death on April 12, 1982.
She graduated in 1937 from Pleasant Plain High School.
She was a farm wife for eight years.
In 1947, she and Joe purchased the grocery store in East Pleasant Plain from her parents where she also was the post office clerk from 1961 until 1974.
In June, 1975 she started working at The Ledger in Fairfield, then retired in 1985.
The couple moved to Fairfield in December, 1977.
She sold her home and moved to the Virginia Apartments in 1984. She moved to the Wagon Wheel Apartments in 1999, at which time she became the dining room hostess at the Fairfield Senior Citizen Center.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Fairfield VFW and American Legion auxiliaries.
She belonged to St. Mary Altar and Rosary Society, the Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary and the Fairfield Women's Club.
She enjoyed playing the piano, dancing, playing cards, baking, making candy and being with her family.
Survivors include eight children, Ann McNEW and spouse Bob of Bella Vista, Ark., Ron PECK and spouse Bev of New Sharon, Janet PECK of Fairfield, Linda NAUMANN and spouse Charlie of Coralville, Fred PECK of Houston, Texas, Phil PECK and spouse Pam of South Bend, Inc., Gary PECK and spouse Glenice of Clive and Chuck PECK and spouse Joyce of Kellogg; and one sister, Hazel CHUCK of Mason City; 21 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son Jack PECK; her parents; and two sisters, Esther BAIRD and Jean MESSER.
