Sandra BLOOMQUIST

Sandra BLOOMQUIST, 75, formerly of rural Agency, died at 1:27 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2013, at Sunnybrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.

She was born April 28, 1937 in Red Oak to Alvin "Swede" and Ruth Elizabeth McCLARNON EKLOFE. She married Phillip R. BLOOMQUIST on December 19, 1955. He preceded her in death on May 13, 2007.

Sandra was a member of Agency United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Michael (Cassandra) BLOOMQUIST of Agency and Daniel (Rhonda) BLOOMQUIST of rural Batavia; four grandchildren, Stephanie (Mike) FERRELL of Ottumwa, Stacie (Michael) WARREN of Eldon, Bryce BLOOMQUIST of Des Moines and Mitchell BLOOMQUIST of Batavia; two great-grandchildren, Ava and Bode FERRELL; 10 sisters, Mary Ann (Don) KNOTTS and Dixie CARDER both of Ottumwa; Violet ZOOK of Hedrick, Marlene (Darrell) BLACK of Davenport, Delna EKLOFE and Bonnie (David) KOPSIECKER both of Hedrick, Leona (Darrell) SWOPE of Bloomfield, Colleen CONGER and Tina EKLOFE both of Ollie, Loretta (Willie) MESSERSCHMITT of Martinsburg; 7 brothers, Larry EKLOFE and Bob (Linda) EKLOFE both of Ottumwa, Jerry EKLOFE and Marlin EKLOFE, both of Hedrick, Gary (Linda) EKLOFE of Queen Creek, AZ, Chuck (Cheryl) EKLOFE of Fremont and Rick (Joy) EKLOFE of Pella; special friends and neighbors, Judy Kleinschmidt and Kay Irwin.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Sam EKLOFE.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa with Rev. Jena Manchester officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery (note - in Ottumwa, IA).

Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials may be made to Agency United Methodist Church or Cardinal A Club.
