A. POPEJOY Dies At 74

Mrs. Lester M. POPEJOY, 74, Route 3 Fairfield, died at 5:30 a.m. today at the Jefferson County Hospital. She had been in failing health the past year.

Alberta POPEJOY was born Nov. 30, 1902 in Birmingham, the daughter of O'Dell and Anna MARSHALL TEETER. She was married to Lester POPEJOY November 23, 1921 at Fairfield. She lived in the Van Buren and Jefferson county communities her entire life. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Bob POPEJOY of Fairfield, and one daughter, Mrs. Carol BUCHER of Nevada, Iowa; three grandchildren, one brother, Kenneth TEETER, Hillsdale, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Marie CHRISINGER, Winfield, and Mrs. Velva BONNETT, Fairfield. She was preceded in death two brothers.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 18 at 2 p.m. at the Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Joseph Twing in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
