Dale BROWN

Dale BROWN, 77, of Peoria, Ill., and formerly of Fairfield, died Sunday, May 21, 2000, in his home in Peoria.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First English Lutheran Church in Peoria. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today at Wilton Mortuary in Peoria and one hour prior to the funeral service Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be sent to OSF Hospice and First English Lutheran.

Mr. BROWN was born Aug. 5, 1922, in Fairfield, the son of Ralph M. BROWN and Hannah R. KELLY. He married Elaine ONNEN Dec. 22, 1945, in Peoria. She died July 31, 1997, in Peoria.

Mr. BROWN was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II serving in the South Pacific.

He was national accounts manager for L.R. Nelson Company in Peoria for 28 years, retiring in 1977. He was a member of First English Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sons, Tom BROWN of Granger and Michael BROWN of Fairfield; two daughters, Susan HOLZRICHTER of Grayslake, Ill., and Mary OVERBY of Clinton; three brothers, James BROWN and Burnell BROWN, both of Peoria, and Robert BROWN of Fairfield, Ill.; three sisters, Lola BROW of Kewanee, Ill., Louise JOHNSON of Fairfield and Violet LISTON of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, and one granddaughter.
